Mercure Antwerp City South, Antwerp

The rooms were a bit old and worn, yet very clean with a good internet connection and a decent TV. The staff were extremely polite, although drinks were quite expensive. The service was outstanding, with staff going above and beyond. However, the food was also pricey. The location, though not very pretty from the outside and situated at a busy road, is easy to reach with public transport, making it convenient for exploring. The prices for food and drinks were on the higher side. Overall, a comfortable stay with exceptional service but at a cost.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were spacious and offered lovely views across Antwerp, but the cleanliness was not up to standard even after requesting improvement. The location was great for what I needed, being close to the Antwerpen Zuid train station, but a bit far from the city center. The service was a bit hit or miss, with some staff members being very helpful and polite while others were not as friendly. The dining options were overpriced for the selection provided, and the quality needs improvement. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.
